Vastu Remedies for Hotel

* Hotels are a combination of commercial and residential activities.
* The lower floors are basically used for commercial activities whereas the upper floors are used for residential activities. The basic noms remain the same for selection of plot and its parameter. However, there may be minor variations in the placement of various areas at different levels.
* The plot size must be regular, i.e. square, rectangular or octagonal. The South-West and South angles must be perfect right angles.
* The road should be on any side preferably on North or East. The road on the South and East is acceptable provided road on South is at higher level to other road.
* The ground should slpe towards the North and East.
* The natural flow of water, if any should not be obstructed.


* The location of plot should be such that it should not be near cemeteries/electic sub-stations or slums or religious places or slaugheter houses, i.e. the environment should be light and good. The plot should be conveniently located. Entrance to the plot should be only from the positive zone whereas exit should be from negative zone. The preferred direction for entrance would be North/East/North East. Avoid entry from South, South-East or South-West. Negative zone entries will bring bad name and criminal activities. The water source should be located only in North-East or North or East from exact location.
* The property must have clear corners i.e. unobstructed and no structure should be built either at ground or basement level.
* The building should be built in such a manner that maximum space is left on the North and East and minimum on South and West.
* The highest portion of the building should fall only in South-West quadrant and lowest in North-East. The reception should be in North-East/North-West corner, immediately near entrance. Staff should face any direction other than the South. The lobby and entrance should preferably be in the North-East or North-East.
* Restaurant should be in West or South or East, most preferred direction is West.
Commercial activities like shopping arcade, bank and money changer should be located in the South. Restaurants, reception lounge etc. should be at the ground floor level.
* Reception, registration and billing should be in North-West, banquet hall conference hall or changing rooms shall be in the basement or 1st floor in West.
* Lobby manager should have his table/office in North or East. The main kitchen should be constructed in South East corner leaving the centre of kitchen unoccupied by any machine. The cold rack should be in the north west of the kitchen whereas oven, cooking range should be in the South-East, South. Storage of provisions shall be only in South-West. The disposal of waste product/dumping ard should be from South-East.
* Laundry should be in the eastern direction.
The following may be located in the basement:-
i. Underground water tank, filteration and softening plant in North-East.
ii. Boiler, generator, transformer, panels in South-East.
iii. Chillers, condensing unit, air handling, equipment in North-West.
