Vastu for kitchen has been an important area of study since centuries. Hindus believe that a kitchen designed according to Vastu Shastra attracts health and happiness for the inmates, helping them live an abundant life. Kitchen And Storage Tips are:
  • The cooking platform should be in the East and South. It should not touch the East and South walls of the kitchen. Kitchen should be well ventilated and must have windown in East/West.
  • The cooking range/stoves/burner should be in South East corner and should not touch the wall. It should not be opposite the main entrance to kitchen.
  • The washing sink should be in North East corner. All water storage appliances should be in North East.
  • Freeze in kitchen should be kept in any direction other that North East and South West.
  • The storage of food stuff should be in South/West/South West. As far as possible the long term storage like grains, rice oil should be stored in a separate room.
  • If there is dining table in kitchen it should be in North West or West Side.
  • If there are more than one cooking gas/stove/cooking range it shows that house wife do not depend solely on their husband income. They are also looking for additional sources of income.
  • The inimical tatva should not be kept together like freeze and microwave oven or cooking range, water body and cooking range or water and heater tank.
