Vaastu Shastra has laid down certain rules and principles for every kind of building and spaces. It is always advisable to follow Vaastu guidelines while designing a plan both for personal and commercial spaces. 
Vastu Tips For Restaurants Ground floor would be apt for the reception and restaurant purposes. It is always better to have the main entrance of a restaurant in east, north or northeast directions. The storeroom for a restaurant should be built in the southwest.

Vastu Remedies for Restaurants:
  1. Reception area must be in the east, north east north. Lobby should be between north east and rest. Cash counter should be in the north, facing east or in the east facing north. Avoid facing south. If cash counter and / or reception is in south west, it must be a raised one. The serving counter/delivery counter should be in the south or north west.
  2. The sitting place should be in West, North-West.
  3. The entry to the restaurant should be from the positive zone whereas the exit should be from the negative zone. The maximum openings shall be provided in the positive zone whereas opening in the negative zone shall also be provided but should be only 60% of the positive zone opening for the better view.
  4. Provide soft light and music in the sitting/dining area.
  5. The floor and wall of restaurant should not have black and dark colour interiors.
  6. Bar, if provided in the restaurant should only be in the west zone or south west zone. It should not be in the North-East zone.
  7. Banquet hall shall be on the western side. In case the restaurant has a basement it should be booked for conferences, exhibitions or other cultural activities. The cooking area should not be in the basement.
